New Zealand Trip 2003
I broke this into a couple of sections because of a lot of pictures which might take some time to download. Boyd: Turned 8, 5-18-99. Going into third grade next year.
Garret: Graduated Co-valedictorian on June 18th. His birthday is September 9th. He will be 18. Garret’s summer has been busy. He won a $2,500 flying scholarship and has used some of it for his flying in Minden Nevada, already. He returned for the filming of “Awesome Adventures” which should air in September. He is in New Mexico as crew for the 15meter nationals. He is planning on one year at Grossmont Junior College then to Embry Riddle College in Arizona. When he gets back from NM, he hopes to finish his Cessna, and get it ready to fly! Not to mention get his Commercial and CFI writtens out of the way.
Shane is working daily in San Diego as a machinist and has discovered he doesn’t like production work. He plans to go to Grossmont College next year.
Bret & Karen celebrated their 19th Anniversary in June!
Airshows: We just did our annual pig roast and all went well. Our next show is Miramar at the last weekend in July and then to Salinas in early October

Old News:
We will start with Boyd. He turned 8 (going on18) May 18. He is doing very well in school and is always in the lead or close in most Purple tags (these are for being good, and are a big deal in his classroom). His baseball career is going well. In today’s game he hit 2 homeruns, a single and a triple, which brought in two runs, he also stroke out twice. Boyd is a great catcher and plays out field, too. The Daily question is still "may we fly today?" He still loves to do Loops. He wanted a football and full set of pads for Christmas, he got the football. His reading has improved and uses his computer every other day or so.
Shane is living in San Diego and working as a Machinist. His car died, so he just got a new one! We are very proud of his accomplishments, Shane is a very hard worker.
Garret is a senior, the ASB president and looking to the future. Garrets Graduation is June 18th. Click here for more information. Garret's Cessna 140 is going well. Both wings are covered and are ready for paint, but that will have to happen after Graduation with everything that is going on.
