PA18-180 Super Cub Tow Plane or a Fantastic fun plane  $69,800

N4363Z is a Great work horse. The engine 0-360 A3A Lycoming was installed under the Jensen 180 Conversion. This conversion to the 180hp was designed for towing gliders at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and is great for Glider Towing. We are at 3000' and she will tow anything! We find that the Pawnee (235) will only really do better in towing the 2-32's on hot days and high tows, otherwise the time from take-off to landing is within a few minutes. The Cub uses less fuel and two less cylinders. The biggest advantage is the two seats for tow pilot training, not to mention easy & safe to fly.

We just completed a fresh Annual and installed a New Headliner! The Compression was: 77/80 on all 4 (one was pushing 78).  Running very strong. Has 2 oil coolers and runs about 200 on a hot day. Rejuvenated fuselage with Stits Poly Fiber Process and re-painted white Poly Tone in 03/06.  In May of 1995 stripped down to frame, beefed up fuselage (337’s filed), sandblasted, primed and painted like new.  Recovered with Poly Fiber process.  Fabric is in good condition. Many mods done to make working on her easier.  Added handles for ground handling which not only make it easier but keeps people from doing damage.  New tach installed.  Engine/instrument cables are set-up so that it is easy to swing engine to work on accessories.  All logbooks.  She is the best flying Cub.  1968 Piper PA 18-150 with 0-360 A3A, N4363Z, 19,500+ TTAF, 1,000+SMOH, 100+ since new sealed struts.

 This is a GREAT TowPlane for Gliders or Banners  with a Schweizer Tow Hook. She is a work horse but can be really cleaned up for an un-believable climbing Super Cub! The price is low because of TTAF, which was completely gone through in 1996, all tubing carefully inspected! We have 3 Cubs, 2 Pawnee's and a Callair A9A (just about finished on complete covering and majored engine). A Cub must go. Wings are wired for Nav lights and landing light,  Day VFR ONLY. As you can see basic instruments that are needed for towing ONLY.

We thought we had her sold to a Banner Company, but they did not come thru and the back-up person bought a plane while we waited! First one with money takes her home!!
