Do Not Use: 1-800-SKYRIDES or any other Middle Man websites selling Gift Certificates for Glider, Balloon, Warbirds, Bi-plane of Parachute rides

Do not be fooled by sham sites that only want to sell you gift certificates but do not want you to ever use them. Many will do anything or say anything to get your money. They do not have soaring sites in the area that they advertise. If you can redeem your certificate, you may have to travel many hundreds of miles to even a different state. But they will not tell you this upfront, in fact when pressed they have been known to lie. They pretend to have sites in a city near you, such as San Diego. But there is only one soaring operation in San Diego and they will never take 800-skyride tickets and do not want to be associated with them in any way. Another example is San Francisco, they will even go as far as telling you that their site has closed, when they never had one. They will then direct you to a site in Southern California (which no longer takes their certificates). Most people will just never use it. It is a shame and hurts a wonderful sport. We do not like the business ethics and the way that they do business. 800-sky ride is on the web under many names such as:

TigerDirect will eventually rip you off. I had heard of their less then sterling reputation, but we had bought a few bargains and had good customer service until: we bought a fast Dual core computer system, where they send you all the parts and you assemble. It worked ok for about 4 months and quit one day (my back-up was behind of course). I usually build my own and it was not a real problem. I called the motherboard company who said the problem had to be a power supply. Off to town for a new power supply (as you know town is 1 1/2 hour drive each way) but I  needed my computer back up. The new power supply made no difference, so I bought another CPU which is a dual core. Nope, the motherboard company sent me a refurbished board, it too would not work, I bought a NEW motherboard off the web (same model) still did not work. Now I have bought: New memory, new graphics card, new 2x dual CPU, new motherboard, and a new power supply!!! Of course these were all retail as I was in a hurry to have it back up. I went back to the motherboard company really upset. Only to find that the motherboard sent to me from TigerDirect would NOT work with dual core CPU's. i bought a new compatible CPU and it fired right up on the old stuff (but new motherboard since the original fried because of the wrong cpu supplied by Tiger Direct)

TigerDirect would not do ANYTHING since it was over 30 days, even though they sold me a SYSTEM which was not compatible. I only asked for a motherboard that would be compatible with the Dual Core CPU and a computer tower case. I had already bought the correct CPU and all the stuff for a new computer. I feel that Tiger Direct is a company without shame, they will sell you a system that is not compatible and not make it right.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM TIGER DIRECT, They will not stand behind what they sell.
